Acton Academy West Austin
For the next six weeks Austin Creative Art Center will be inspiring the Acton Academy West Eagles to create masterpieces.
Acton Academy is an elementary and middles school that uses the Socratic method of learning to inspire each child to find a calling that will change the world.

Students will create their very own papier-mâché Citycat! Ms. Zoey Upshaw has been handmaking these folk art cats for more than 10 years. Each kitty built with care and designed with a message to teach us about the world.
Citycats. Truly like no others.
Citycats have at least nine lives, maybe more. Some are into art and become masterpieces. Others walk on the wild side, covered in tattoos and urban graffiti showing their true colors. Some run away to join the circus. Created of papier-mâché (French for "chewed paper") they thrive on life, art and curiosity. Get closer. Spend time within arms reach.
They will make their choice.
